Portland has a comprehensive public transportation system that is one of the best in the United States.  

MAX (Light Rail)

TriMet's MAX (Metropolitan Area Express) Light Rail connects downtown Portland with Beaverton, Clackamas, Gresham, Hillsboro, North/Northeast Portland and the Portland International Airport.  MAX runs every 15 minutes or better most days...EVERY DAY!  Service is less frequent in the early morning, mid-day and late evening. There's even a MAX stop not far from the softball fields!

Portland Streetcar

The Portland Streetcar is a two-line streetcar system serving the central part of Portlandâ??downtown and the areas immediately surrounding downtown.  Streetcar runs about every 15 minutes during the day (less frequently in the evenings and on Sundays).
